Our Doctrine

"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;" Ecclesiastes 12:1

We believe the Youth Ministry is a vital part of the work here at Hilltop Baptist Church. The young people are the future of the church body and must be trained and guided especially now as young members. We believe each and every young person has the potential to be used by God in a great way. That is why it is so important to get the young generation excited about the things of God! They are the future Youth Directors, Pastor's, Pastor's Wives, Full-time Christian Workers and Faithful Church Members of this next generation! They might be young, but they are... "members of that one body...".

"For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ." 1 Corinthians 12:12

In the Bible we can see that their was no such thing as a "Teenager". This was a worldly title given to allow or excuse young adults to "sow their wild oats". We believe that from the age of 13 on up is adulthood! We can find a perfect example of this in...

Luke 2:42-52
"And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast."
"And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?"

At a young age Jesus knew His Father had a plan for His life! To many young people throw their lives away between the ages of 13-18, all the while God had plans for them if they would have just submitted and searched for him while they were young!

Here at Hilltop Baptist Church, we encourage the youth to learn and grow spiritually. We live in a world that would like nothing more than to suck your children in and leave them empty and ruined. That's why we have a young ministry, to keep them... about their Father's business!

Sincerely:
